For over 40 years, KinderGym has been helping children across Australia develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to live active healthy lives.

Our qualified, nationally-accredited coaches tailor classes to your child’s age and developmental stage to ensure they get the best out of each class, all while having fun!

KinderGym classes give children the opportunity to reach their potential, practice skills and actively solve problems. KinderGym classes for young participants and their care providers are developed in alignment with researched principles on physical literacy and early childhood development.

The classes provide an environment for children to develop physical and cognitive skills in a fun and playful way, at their own rate through guided exploration.

Packed with activities to develop gross and fine motor skills, music and rhythm, success, and challenges, KinderGym classes are designed to develop physical literacy in the whole child — socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

Watch your child grow in confidence and skill as they explore an environment that is safe, stimulating, and fun.

What is physical literacy?

It is more than just exercise! It is about developing our whole self.

Physical literacy is more than just the physical skills to help us move. It is the knowledge, behaviours, and confidence your children need to motivate them to lead active lives.

Our level of physical literacy impacts the way we think and process information; our attitudes, emotions, feelings; and how we interact with others while being physically active.

Focusing on ongoing growth, physical literacy involves holistic lifelong learning through movement and physical activity. It delivers physical, psychological, social and cognitive health and wellbeing benefits for people of all ages.
