Renewing your Technical Membership in 2016

Relevant to: ALL coaches and ALL judges. Please read this article carefully to ensure that you are eligible to renew your Technical Membership in a timely manner.

Gymnastics Australia would like to encourage all members to renew their Technical Membership online via the Gymnastics Online (GOL) Technical Member portal. This article explains how to do this but also provides information for those who are required to renew via the Technical Member Renewal Form. 

Renewing Technical Membership Online

Gymnastics Australia encourages all members to renew online via the Gymnastics Online portal (GOL). 

How do I renew my Technical Membership online?

Sign into the Gymnastics Online (GOL) online portal via the link on the top right of the Gymnastics Australia website.

The online user guide will provide the steps to complete the process online.

Why can't I renew my Technical Membership online?

You will not be able to renew online if:

Your Technical Membership is more than 2 months overdue

  • You do not have enough updating points to renew

  • You have been provided with complimentary technical membership

What should I do if my Technical Membership is more than 2 months overdue?

If your membership is more than 2 months overdue you will not be able to access your GOL account. Please complete your Technical Membership renewal form and send to membership@gymnastics.org.au.

What should I do if my updating points are not on my record?

It can take up to a month and in some instances longer for your updating points to appear on your record. If it has been longer than a month, please read below for guidance.

  • If you have attended competitions you will need to contact the organiser of the competition:

  • State competitions - your State / Territory Association 

  • Nationals and National Clubs – Gymnastics Australia

  • If you have completed online courses via the Learning Management System (LMS) please contact GA at [email protected] 

  • For all other points such as your First Aid Certificate and tertiary studies, please forward a copy of the certificate and details about the course to your State / Territory Association

Renewing via the Technical Member Renewal Form

Your Technical Member Renewal Form will be sent one month prior to renewal. If you are not eligible to renew online please read below for some renewal tips.

Are you eligible to renew your Technical Membership?

To renew your technical membership you need to have:

  • enough updating points

  • been a technical member in the past 3 years

My updating points are not on my record, what should I do?

It can take up to a month and in some instances longer for your updating points to appear on your record. If it has been longer than a month, please read below for guidance.

  • If you have attended competitions you will need to contact the organiser of the competition:

What should I do if I don’t have enough updating points?

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR RENEWAL FORM TO GYMNASTICS AUSTRALIA IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH POINTS. GAIN THE POINTS FIRST THEN SUBMIT YOUR FORM.

It is more than three years since I was last a Technical Member, what should I do?

You need to contact your State/Territory Association for guidance on the steps that you need to take to renew your membership.
