Damien Axelsen

                                                                                              
            

Damien, an up-and-coming athlete in the Double Mini Trampoline world, won bronze on the apparatus in the 2014 Australian Gymnastics Championships competition, as well as fourth in the Men's Synchronised Trampoline competition in only his second senior level competition. The bronze medal was his second since participating in National competition, having also won bronze in the 17+ Trampoline competition in 2010.

Damien represented Australia in the 2014 World Trampoline and Tumbling Championships Double Mini Trampoline team, finishing in 16thposition.

Axelsen competed in his first senior Double Mini Trampoline competition in the 2015 Nationals, finishing in eighth position and then returned in 2016 to be crowned 2nd place. 

Damien trains with coach Ben Kelly at the Apex Trampoline Club in Hobart, Tasmania and is hoping to represent Australia at the 2017 TRP World Championships later this year.
