Tara Wilkie

Tara Wilkie is a bright Rhythmic talent who took up the sport at the age of six, previously training in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics from the age of two. However, she fell in love with Rhythmic gymnastics as soon as she tried it.

Wilkie has recorded strong results both nationally and internationally, with her clean sweep of the Junior National division in 2014 leading to selection in the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, where she posted top 20 results in every apparatus.

Her best results internationally were recorded in the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival (fourth in the All-Apparatus) and a pair of top-10 finishes with Ball and Clubs in the 2013 Bucharest Irina Cup in Romania.

Wilkie’s first Senior National competition yielded a sensational third placing in the All-Apparatus final, as well as another silver medal with the Ball.

Tara trains at MLC School Gymnastics Club with coach Delia Halmu.
