Matthew Weal

Matthew Weal started out initially in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics at the age of four, but by the age of 10 he moved to Trampoline.

The move turned out to be excellent for Weal, as he has acquired a string of national titles, winning the Junior Men's Australian Champion title on Double Mini Tramp (DMT) in 2010 and 2011, and as a Senior in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Weal also won the junior Trampoline title in 2010 and finished on the podium in 2009 (third), 2011 (third) and 2014 (second).

After also winning silver in the Men's Trampoline competition and Synchronised competition at the 2014 Australian Gymnastics Championships, Matthew was selected to represent Australia at the 2014 World Trampoline Championships.

Whilst the 2013 and 2014 World Championships were great competition experiences for Weal, in 2015 he had a breakout international competition in the Senior level, taking the Bronze Medal in DMT, and partnering with Dominic Clarke in Synchronised competition to place fourth.
