Kiara Munteanu

After commencing her career at the Niddrie Gymnastics Club, Kiara now trains National Centre of Excellence in Melbourne.

Kiara had a big year in 2014, competing as a senior in her first international competitions.

Kiara won the gold medal with team Australia, and also a bronze on Vault at the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational in the USA.  She then followed this performance by placing fourth in both the team event and Uneven Bars event at the City of Jesolo Trophy in Italy.

At the 2014 Australian Gymnastics Championships, Kiara placed second on Vault and third All Around, as well as winning team gold. This follows another strong performance at the event in 2013 in her first year as a senior where she placed first on Vault, third on Uneven Bars and won the team title.

Munteanu was the youngest member of the team that was selected to represent Australia at the World Championships in Nanning, China, where she contributed to the seventh place team final.

Munteanu finished fourth on Bars and sixth on Vault in the 2015 Australian Gymnastics Championships.
